One Dubble Records is more than just an independent record label. It’s a home for artists, a platform for culture, and a growing community built around creativity, opportunity and support.

Rooted in independent, underground music culture, One Dubble lives to discover, promote and help produce new, inspiring sounds from the world of urban genres. From Hip Hop to Grime, Jungle to Dubstep, Gospel to Neo Soul; these are sounds that have burst forward out of adversity and creativity dictated by social restraints. These sounds always thrived at a grassroots level — born from lived experience, resourcefulness and the need to express something real.

At the centre of everything we do are two equal focuses: the artist and the community. We are an artist-first label that values honesty, effective relationships, creativity and mutual respect. We aim to nurture a small roster of artists properly, providing them with the space, guidance, and support they need to grow on their own terms — not just musically, but professionally & personally.

The second side of One Dubble is equally important. Alongside releasing music and supporting the careers of artists, we are building music-based learning and development programmes that can be delivered in local communities and mainstream schools. We want to help young creatives across Scotland recognise that there are many paths into the music industry, not only as artists or performers, but through roles in production, management, events, media, distribution and beyond. By targeting areas where resources and opportunities are limited, we hope to play a small part in strengthening creative pathways, networking and addressing the decline of support for the creative arts within our society and education system.

Proudly Scottish but not insular, One Dubble aims to begin building at home here in Fife and Edinburgh, with the ambition to expand into communities across Scotland and, in time, further into the UK music landscape. While we are fundamentally an independent, underground label, we are fully supportive of artists and creatives who want to move their careers into the mainstream or crossover spaces. The most authentic scenes have always come from the ground up — often in the face of adversity — and at One Dubble, we believe that energy should be protected and carried with you, not diluted and forgotten.

With One Dubble, all releases begin digitally, but where there is a market demand, we work closely with artists to create physical releases for their audiences. Wherever possible, we choose to work with Scottish distributors and manufacturers, such as EmuBands for digital distribution and Seabass Vinyl for physical pressings.

One Dubble Records is for anyone in Scotland with a love of music and a knowledge of self that drives a desire to work in the industry — regardless of age, gender or background, One Dubble wants to build a family and support your journey in music. Whether you’re an artist, a creative looking for direction, or simply someone who believes in the power of music and community, there’s a place for you here.
