OneDubble Records is more than just an independent record label. It’s a social enterprise, home for artists, a platform for culture, and a growing community built around creativity, opportunity and support.
Rooted in independent, underground music culture, OneDubble Records lives to discover, promote and help produce new, inspiring sounds from the world of MOBO & bass music genres. From Hip Hop to Grime, Jungle to Dubstep, Gospel to Neo Soul; these are sounds that have burst forward out of adversity and creativity dictated by social restraints. These sounds always thrived at a grassroots level — born from lived experience, resourcefulness and the need to express something real.
At the centre of everything we do are two equal focuses: the artist and the community. We are an artist-first label that values honesty, effective relationships, creativity and mutual respect. We aim to nurture a small roster of artists by providing them with the expertise, space, guidance, and support they need to grow on their own terms — not just musically, but professionally & personally.
The second side of OneDubble Records is equally as important to us. Alongside releasing music and supporting the careers of artists, we are building music industry learning and development programmes and events that can be delivered in local communities and educational institutions. We want to help young creatives across Scotland recognise that there are many paths into the music industry, not only as artists or performers, but through roles in production, management, events, media, distribution and beyond. By targeting areas where resources and opportunities are limited, we hope to play a part in building creative pathways, networking and addressing the decline of support for the creative arts within our society and education system.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to discover and support Scotland’s creative young artists and music industry entrepreneurs through community events and educational programs.
We aim to create pathways into the music industry that not only provide opportunity but also help address some of the social issues faced by our young people, turning negative into positive for our communities.
By creating educational programs, live events, and inspiring & supporting potential young recording artists in Scotland; our aim is to provide hope and make a measurable impact in Scotland’s music industry and social landscape.
Keeping this mission at the heart of everything we do, we reinvest profits into artist development & community projects to create a self-sustaining creative cycle of opportunity, support and artist development that we can implement across Scotland’s communities.
We’re flipping the script on the industry by putting equity first and scouting the underrepresented voices that the mainstream overlooks, turning raw hustle into cultural impact!
